A necklace featuring sugilite and moonstones
Sugilite is a rare and expensive stone because it comes from just one mine and the best stones are found a long way beneath the earth. Here I have teamed them with moonstones and two natural sapphires. The triangular sugilite cabochon is bezel-set on an oval loop of sterling silver. It is approximately 44 cm (18 inches) in length and is fastened with a handmade silver 'S' clasp.
